Run for Light

After the success of the Bottle School Run, My Shelter Foundation continues to pursue its mission to create a system of sustainability and replicability through its capability-building and employment generating projects.  In line with this, My Shelter Foundation is organizing a benefit run dubbed, “Bataan Run for Light: A hundred today, thousands tomorrow.”  This would be a pioneering project of My Shelter Foundation headed by Mr. Illac Diaz.  The run will be included as one of the highlights in the celebration of Bataan Day.  Here are the event particulars:

Globe Run for Home 2011 Race Results

Well, talk about fast—I haven’t returned home yet and the race results for the Globe Run for Home 2011 is already available!  You may view the race results here.  (Special thanks to Vimz “Kulitrunner” for the heads up)

* * * * *

Personal note: I think the timer at the finish line was off by a few seconds—I am certain I crossed the finish line in 1:50:47 (gun time), and started 2 seconds after gun start (according to the Facebook app) so that would yield 1:50:45… but the race results shows a gun time of 1:51:01 and a chip time of 1:50:53!  Weird because that would mean I started 8 seconds from gun start, or the timer was off by 14 seconds?!  Hmmm, now what am I going to log as my new PR? 😀
