Rexona Run and an Adventure That Won’t Let You Down

Rexona Run is back once again as the fourth leg of the Runrio Series.  With the success of last year’s leg Rexona had a difficult time of outdoing themselves, and this year they came up with something new.

As far as innovation is concerned, Rexona Run will introduce the country’s first reusable timing chip, the Runrio Timing Card.  This timing card will be used in future Runrio races and costs ₱300 each, but fret not as Rexona Run will include this with every registration, for FREE!

Aside from the new timing card, a “B-Tag” will also make its silent debut.  As the timing chip will just be having its maiden race during the Rexona Run, Runrio didn’t take the risk of it failing, so a back-up system was set up and that is where the B-Tag comes in.  B stands for “bib” as it’s placed on bibs, but in this case it may also stand for “backup.”

I think it’s about time that we employ these non-disposable timing chips.  In the long run it saves costs, reduces waste, and overall more environmentally friendly.  It’s just that we have to learn a new way of wearing a new chip. 🙂

Overall I think that this race would be the usual Runrio race—very good!  And as far as registration fees, I think it’s quite reasonable since the costs of the reusable timing card are covered.  You also get a very good event singlet, plus a free pass to the Rexona Adventure Hub where you can join the activities: zipline, free fall, reverse bungee, zorb maze, and wall climb.  And if you’re lucky you may even win an adventure trip with friends!
