RAVE for art

The trilogy opens on December 10, 2011 with a benefit exhibit to be unveiled at the lobby of the newly-inaugurated Sun Life Centre, a pioneering GREEN structure in Bonifacio Global City.

Themed “Panoramic Portals,” the 24-piece visual piece features Pascual’s latest photo collection side by side with original artworks hand-drawn by a Hebreo scholar who happens to be an upcoming artist as well. Using old masters classic strokes, the paintings would illuminate Piolo’s different persona in and out of the limelight.

“This is an exciting twist for SunPIOLOgy as we help showcase one’s talent so that he can continue his education.  I hope this exhibit will be a treat for collectors and art enthusiasts who are on the lookout for promising artists,” shares the Hebreo Foundaiton founder.

The SunPIOLOgy 2012 Exhibit will be on display at the lobby of Sun Life Centre from December 11, 2011 until the eve of the photographer’s birthday on January 12, 2012.  Online bidding to own a PIOLO original is available within the same period.

Yes, Piolo will be running but he said he’s not aiming to better himself (a.k.a. pulling a “sub-Piolo”)

RUN to raise funds

Next to kick off is the “Sunset Run” which celebrates good health and the exhilaration of conquering one’s goals and aspirations, no matter the distance.  “Running is a meditation for me, a time to think and just let myself go.  It is also a challenge to see how far I can go,” volunteers Piolo who is, himself, a triathlete and a competitive runner.

The race begins with a Vertical Run at the Sun Life Centre at the corner of 5th avenue and Rizal drive  Road races for 3K, 5K and 10K distances will commence one after the other a few blocks away at the 11th Avenue,  North Bonifacio.  A 500m costume run is open for kids age 5-10 years old.

Registration is accepted in Toby’s and RUNNR outlets in Alabang Town Center, Bonifacio High Street, Shangri-la Mall, and TriNoma until November 4.

The Sunset Run is a project of Sun Life Financial with St. Luke’s Medical Center and Sun Life Foundation as co-presentors.  Official timer is Timex while Powerade is the official hydration.

RAISE funds for education

“Our collaboration with Piolo, which we have called SunPIOLOgy, is growing stronger now that we’re on our third year.  The more than a million pesos we have raised so far benefited many indigent but deserving students under Hebreo Foundation.  With this year’s Sunset Run, we again encourage everyone to support our cause for education while also engaging in an active and healthy lifestyle,” says Sun Life Philippines Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa.

“We invite Filipinos to live the spirit of generosity during the holidays.  Let us make SunPIOLOgy 2012 a rousing success, beginning with your participation in the Sunset Run and our Benefit Exhibit,” concludes Piolo.
