Featured Race: Run United Philippine Marathon (RUPM)

The Run United Trilogy were really meant as training grounds for those aiming to run longer distances, but this year the trilogy went even further by staging their own “holy grail” of running events, forty two kilometers and a hundred ninety five meters of road—a full marathon!  And it is to be called the Run United Philippine Marathon.

Finisher’s medal for both the half and full marathon

Finisher’s shirts for 42K (top) and 21K (bottom)

But wait, there’s more!  If you completed the Run United Trilogy’s main events, those finisher’s medals “unite” with that of RUPM.

The medals “unite” with the Run United Trilogy medals to form this “mega medal”

Based on how you performed during the last Run United 32K “Afroman” distance you can perfectly assess if you’re ready to join the full marathon (42.195K) of RUPM.  If you think you’re not totally prepared, both physically and mentally, to join a full marathon, there’s nothing to be ashamed of in doing the half as both legs would allow you to complete that “mega medal.”

I am sure you have more questions than this post addresses.  For more information about this event, visit runrio.com.
