I’ve never been a fan of smart watches because I don’t think they’re doing things significantly better than my GPS watch but they cost way too much, until now when Apple Watch Series 2 came out with a special Nike+ edition. I mean, just take a look at this beauty:
* Apple Watch Series 2 has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, Apple Watch Series 2 should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth. Stainless steel and leather bands are not water resistant.
** In most countries.

Now with a built-in GPS and improved water resistance, it should appeal more to runners looking to step up from their usual GPS watches. Let’s face it—as much as I love my Garmins, they’re not as capable as watchOS present in the Apple Watch. And you can’t play Pokémon GO on a GPS watch! Of course there’s that issue of how reliable the GPS is of the Apple Watch Nike+ and its battery life with GPS on. Assuming that it’s at least at par with GPS watches at around the same price point, it should make the market more interesting. Apple Watch Series 2 with Nike+ Run Club app—this should make an excellent combination.
