The Tokyo Olympics had just concluded and next in line to host the summer Games is Paris. Have you seen the official logo of the 2024 Games?

This logo or “emblem” was unveiled back in 2019 but I’ve only seen it recently as I was browsing through the Olympics website. At first, honestly, I thought it was a joke hoax but as did some research, this is actually the new official logo of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games!

The story shows how much thought went into the design and the dark mode rendered in gold (HEX: #d7c378) looks quite elegant. There’s even a section of the Paris 2024 website dedicated to the logo. But I still struggle to appreciate it, especially coming from this:
