Rain4Africa: A Lifeline to Africa Run

On July 20, 2011, the United Nations officially declared the crisis in the Horn of Africa (encompassing the countries of Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya, and Uganda) as a famine.  Tens of thousands have died.  The conditions that qualify this situation as a famine are the following: 2 adults or 4 children are dying of hunger daily and 30% of the population is acutely malnourished. Walk the World Pilipinas

End Hunger: Walk the World / Isang Hakbang Pilipinas ‘09

Can’t run?  Why not walk?  “End Hunger: Walk the World” is an annual event to raise money and awareness for World Food Programme’s efforts to fight child hunger and malnutrition.  The Walk is a joint effort of WFP and its corporate partners, led by TNT, Unilever, and DSM.  Employees from these companies walk with WFP Goodwill Ambassadors, staff, and beneficiaries as well as government and NGO partners to show their solidarity in the fight against hunger and malnutrition.
