As I write this post I should have already been in the Philippines’ premier beach destination, Boracay, but instead I’m at a Korean fast food, sulking with their hot and spicy fish fillet—all because my much awaited vacation was cancelled!

Visita Iglesia 2011
Visita Iglesia (Spanish: Church Visits) is the tradition of visiting seven churches on Holy Thursday as penance. Some people expand it to 14 churches with each one representing the Stations of the Cross. For this year I decided to start including this in my Holy Week habit but unfortunately I didn’t know that it should be on a Thursday, so ended up doing it on a Saturday, with an unexpected extra two churches!
