Happy New Year!  I can’t believe that it’s 2022 already!  Will this be the year we finally get out of the pandemic?  Or will this be a 2020, too?

Sometimes I wish I know what lies ahead with certainty.  Then again, would I like what I’d find out?  And what if the future is set, and there’s nothing I can do about it?  I guess all of us not knowing makes it fair and encourages us to prepare.

While COVID-19 may seem like a step ahead of us because of the omicron variant, I’m still hopeful that some wonder drug would come along and help improve our quality of life during this pandemic.  For a brief moment towards the end of 2021, we saw what’s possible and hopefully we get more of that back this year.

For the meantime, let’s all be very cautious.  May we all stay safe and have a better life ahead.
