After a long time of hiatus from joining races, I finally got back. And it was Salomon XTrail Run that got me back on my feet for my first race of the year. I can’t say no when Salomon invited me, and I can’t miss the chance of running in one of my favorite places…

Highlights of 2013
2013 is one interesting but very challenging year for me. I’ve had lots of ups and downs, but looking back I can’t say that I have any regrets. And if I had to pick just 10 as highlights of my year, this list would be it. In no particular order, they are:
Extraordinary Cavinti
A few weeks ago, this little known place in Laguna called Cavinti held its first organized trail race. Until this race, I’ve never heard of this place. And after this race, Cavinti is a place I won’t soon forget.
Running with “Walkers” at St. Peter Midnight Run
Halloween. For the first time, I’m doing a Halloween race on a Halloween night itself. And for the first time, I’ve attended a Halloween race where practically everyone is in costume. It’s going to be a “thrilling” night.
Rexona Run 2013: Ran to the Beat, Beat the Sun and Beat Myself
It was another sleepless race. A half marathon starting at 3AM. That’s got to be the earliest 21K I joined that I can remember. You’d have to sleep before sundown if you were to get a good sleep before the race.
Filipina Defends Her Title in the adidas King of the Road Finals
Petaling Jaya, 20th October 2013 – Filipina runner Mary Grace Delos Santos was recently crowned Queen of the Road in the final leg of the adidas King of the Road (KOTR) South East Asia, clocking in 1 hour and 3 minutes for the 16.8K distance.
