It was another sleepless race. A half marathon starting at 3AM. That’s got to be the earliest 21K I joined that I can remember. You’d have to sleep before sundown if you were to get a good sleep before the race.
Takbo.ph Runfest is one of the races that I always look forward to each year for sentimental reasons. I always think of it as Takbo.ph “pioneer” group’s annual reunion, back from the days when race registration cost ₱250 and a big race does not exceed thousand runners.
When you least expect it, a race comes along that would just give you a weekend you won’t soon forget. Such is the case of AyalaLand’s EXPLORAC: an invitational trail run which was unexpectedly free! Here’s my long overdue story of my great weekend in Porac, Pampanga.

This is probably the fastest race results I have ever seen from any RunRio event. The race results are courtesy of Kulit Runner and you may view the results here. To all the finishers, congratulations! 😀

Hamilo Coast is just beautiful, but hiding behind its scenic coastlines and terrains lie some of the toughest trails I’ve ever been to, and the recent Salomon XTrail Run was just one of the toughest trail runs I’ve ever had.
Time flies so fast and before we know it, it’s already the middle of March! New Year seemed like yesterday and with all the crazy work that I have in the office I didn’t notice the first leg of the Run United 2013 series coming. Of course I wouldn’t just let RU1 slip just because…
Race results for the recently concluded first leg of Run United 2013 is now available online! You may view the results here. To all the finishers, Congratulations! 🙂
It was another sleepless race—that’s one of the downsides of having an out of town race. But it doesn’t matter—what matters is that after two years, I’ll be back onto one of my favorite trail routes of all time: the lahar fields of Mt. Pinatubo!
That was fast! The race results for the recently concluded Columbia Eco Trail Run Pinatubo is now available! Click here to view the results.
