Takbo.ph Runfest is one of the races that I always look forward to each year for sentimental reasons.  I always think of it as Takbo.ph “pioneer” group’s annual reunion, back from the days when race registration cost ₱250 and a big race does not exceed thousand runners.

When you least expect it, a race comes along that would just give you a weekend you won’t soon forget.  Such is the case of AyalaLand’s EXPLORAC: an invitational trail run which was unexpectedly free!  Here’s my long overdue story of my great weekend in Porac, Pampanga.

My Longest Race of the Year (So Far): Run United 2

Before I noticed it, Run United 2 came, and while I survived, I can’t say I was quite prepared.  Not only was it my longest race thus far, it was also one of my slowest race ever.  Here’s my Run United 2 story.

Lahar Chronicles: Columbia Eco Trail Run Pinatubo Encounter

It was another sleepless race—that’s one of the downsides of having an out of town race.  But it doesn’t matter—what matters is that after two years, I’ll be back onto one of my favorite trail routes of all time: the lahar fields of Mt. Pinatubo!
