It took some time but finally, I was able to do my first half marathon for the year with the National Geographic (NatGeo) Run 2015. And it was anything but the typical half marathon race, at least for a Runrio one. Here’s my story.
For those who haven’t been able to get their “live results” like I did, the Rexona Run 2013: Run to Your Beat race results have been published by RunRio, complete with RunPix race analysis. To all the finishers, Congratulations! 😀
Before I noticed it, Run United 2 came, and while I survived, I can’t say I was quite prepared. Not only was it my longest race thus far, it was also one of my slowest race ever. Here’s my Run United 2 story.
This is probably the fastest race results I have ever seen from any RunRio event. The race results are courtesy of Kulit Runner and you may view the results here. To all the finishers, congratulations! 😀
Time flies so fast and before we know it, it’s already the middle of March! New Year seemed like yesterday and with all the crazy work that I have in the office I didn’t notice the first leg of the Run United 2013 series coming. Of course I wouldn’t just let RU1 slip just because…
The “Afroman” distance of 32K was the highlight of last leg of the Run United Trilogy, and to buy time for some leisure runners of this event, the race was held very early at 3AM! It’s so early that it was a “no-sleep” race for me. View this post on Instagram 32K. And they call…

Last night I had the chance to drop by the Run United 2 Race Expo to claim my race kit and I was so surprised at how smoothly everything went. Here’s what you may expect from the expo:
This blog post is written minutes after my Run United 21K run, even before the winners are even announced! It’s quite nice to have a netbook handy and Wi-Fi around! Anyways here’s my account fresh off the race.
It was an evening of pure delight last night at Decagon Silver City as those who have completed all three required legs of the Run United Trilogy were recognized. It’s an event that was so overwhelmingly positive that even critics and detractors alike were all smiles and forgot their rants!
I’m not just making this up or saying this figuratively, really did ran with Mr. Piolo Pascual and Coach Rio dela Cruz, literally! This was during this weekend’s Timex Run 2012 which was one of my most memorable and fun races of all time.
True, I already did ultramarathons in the past, but this year’s Run United 3 was my first ever 32K race. Unfortunately though I came to race partially injured because I had thought I’d missed it.
