What’s Up?!

For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t able to publish a single post in the month of April!  I can’t say I’m that busy, but I guess there’s really just a lot of higher priority things going on in my personal life.  But as my personal journal, it’s time to get this blog up to speed.

Isn’t it nice to be able to get around again? Don’t give up your face masks though, COVID-19 isn’t done with us yet.

As the situation gradually goes back to pretty much how it was before the pandemic, I was able to sustain my return to fitness by consistently working out in the gym.  And I was even to meet or even surpass my peak before the pandemic!  Unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to put in a good run, despite having new shoes to test!  On the bright side, I’ve been exceeding my target of 70,000 steps a week, even breaking 100,000 steps in some weeks!  I even earned new Fitbit badges for the month of April.

Satellite badge: 35,000 floors
Earth badge: 12,713 kilometers

In terms of gadgets, I retired my old Fitbit Inspire HR.  In its place is a Fitbit Versa 2 that serves as my entry to full-sized smart watches.  I already have third-party accessories for it and hopefully I get the time to write my review.  It took me a while to decide for a replacement as I really liked the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6, but it didn’t play well with the Fitbit ecosystem which I’m already heavily invested in, so another Fitbit it is.

Hopefully, the coming months would still be good for all of us as COVID-19 is not yet done with its mutations and the campaign rallies and elections drawing a lot of people in close proximity with each other.  I hope to experience another in-person race this year after years of absence, among other things.

Keep moving forward…
