After wanting for so long, I finally had the unexpected chance to cross the Golden Gate Bridge on foot!

I have been to San Francisco several times but always, due to time constraints, never crossed the Golden Gate Bridge on foot. The runner the within me had always dreamt about it since first time I saw it many years ago. Adding to the frustration was that I have crossed the bridge several times in a vehicle!

Then one day during my last visit, my fiancé got the urge to do a long walk from Sausalito back to San Francisco, and my dream of crossing the bridge on foot was realized.

Maybe it’s because of my company, the weather, or various other combining factors, I never felt tired as we crossed the bridge. There were so many things to see, and there were plenty of others also doing the same. It can get really chilly at times though when vehicles pass by and you have to be wary of bikers sharing the way, but the experience was really memorable.

Hopefully when I return, I get to run the bridge!
