Thank You, Sofitel

Sofitel was the site of many of my fond memories so learning that they will be closing permanently this year (2024) was not pleasant.  Nonetheless, I’m thankful for the memories and I hope something better comes along after this ordeal.

I shall not forget the food and fond memories at their Spiral restaurant.

I loved this hallway to our room during our last stay in 2022.
I was totally surprised that a hotel of this age would have a “daring” bathroom design! 😉
When I got to revisit by 2023, most of the bay was gone.

I don’t know what’s in store for the area now that the shoreline has moved far beyond what the eye can see from where it once was.  But I’m hopeful that once everything settles, the area becomes revitalized and our view of the vibrant Manila Bay sunset be restored.  For the meantime, thank you for the memories, Sofitel!
