I recently had the chance to spend an overnight stay at Remington Hotel in Resorts World Manila using a voucher I won from a raffle a while back. Since the voucher was expiring soon, I decided to use it even if I was alone. Thus is the story of my first “staycation.”

My Extraordinary Weekend at Timberland Heights (Day 01)
The month of July closed on a very high note for me as I got to spend the last weekend of the month in one of the most picturesque and refreshing areas around Metro Manila—Timberland Heights. It wasn’t my first time, but I discovered and experienced a lot of new things. Here’s my chronicle of…
Bicol Express Chronicles: CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC)
Our second day in Bicol brought us back to the mainland, in the town of Pili, still in the province of Camarines Sur (CamSur). It’s not my first time to be in CWC or this part of CamSur (my first time being the 2010 CamSur Marathon) but it would be my first time to do wakeboarding!

Extraordinary Cavinti
A few weeks ago, this little known place in Laguna called Cavinti held its first organized trail race. Until this race, I’ve never heard of this place. And after this race, Cavinti is a place I won’t soon forget. The little known town of Cavinti is a third class municipality in the province of Laguna. …
Food Trip: IHOP
One of the latest US franchises to reach Philippine shores is IHOP, formerly known as International House of Pancakes. As a food lover, I’m always open to trying out new things, and IHOP was naturally included in my “must try” list. I’ve heard mixed reactions when it came to the lone IHOP store in the…
