Eye on MoA and Its Arena

It’s been a while since my last post on SM Mall of Asia so when I got a chance to revisit one of the largest malls in the world, I thought of sharing some of the new installations in the compound: the SM Mall of Asia Arena and the MoA Eye.

When I was last in the area, the SM MoA Arena was still under construction.  Well, it is now complete and had no less than one of the world’s biggest artist, Lady Gaga, for its maiden act.  Too bad I missed the performance, but I’m glad we have another world class venue in Metro Manila.  They’re still doing some final touches though so I can’t say it’s completely done yet.

Probably the most striking new feature in the area is the MoA Eye.  I’m not sure how it fares with the likes of London Eye or the Singapore Flyer, but as it is, it’s most likely the biggest Ferris Wheel in the Philippines.  Note that each gondola is air conditioned, and 4 persons is the minimum for the regular (₱150/pax) and 2 for VIP (₱250/pax with free use of binocular and picture).

There are other attractions in the area such as the zip lines, road train, etc. so it’s great for all ages.  If only the beaches were swimmable it would be perfect, but that’d asking too much. 🙂
