Manila to MoA on Foot

It was one of those weekends when I got the urge to revisit some old routes that I’ve not been to for quite a while.  This time I thought of running along Manila Bay via Roxas Blvd. from Quiapo, Manila to the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

A Quick Afternoon in UP Diliman

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus in Quezon City is what I consider to be one of the best places to run in Metro Manila—but I have not been here in ages so I decided to do a quick visit and see how much has changed.

Photo Walk Rizal Park

It had been quite a while since I’ve been to one of the most refreshing spots in Manila, Rizal Park.  Like a lot of places in the Metro, it too had lots of recent developments, and here’s how it looked like as of August 2014.

Visa Requirements for Philippine Passport Holders

Another long weekend is coming and for many Filipinos, that also means a good chance to travel.  For those who may be thinking of going out of the country for a quick vacation, here’s a list (based on a Wikipedia article) of countries where Philippine passport holders can enter without a visa.

Scenic Places For Running You Must Visit

Let’s admit it, running can sometimes be dreadfully boring!  But it doesn’t always have to, especially if you’re running on picturesque locations.  I believe that the best way to explore a place is on foot, and here are some of the most scenic places I’ve seen through running.

Weekend at Puerto Galera

Lenten 2014: The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes

For many people, the Holy Week means a lot of different things—from vacation to visiting churches.  While I don’t observe the holidays in the traditional manner, I still opt to keep away from merry socials.  This year though I did something different from past few year’s Visita Iglesia.

Bay Area Chronicles: San Francisco Redux

Exploring San Francisco in a day is not enough.  And so the following day, I thought of coming back—via public transport!  Here’s the story of my solo flight to SFO, mostly in pictures. This is part of a series① ② ③ ④ ⑤ ⑥ ⑦

Bay Area Chronicles: San Francisco Quickie

At long last, the time for me to explore San Francisco had arrived!  It was a challenge for me to go to San Francisco from Pleasant Hill as I don’t have a car, but heaven must be listening as a co-worker volunteered to give us a tour. This is part of a series① ② ③…

Bay Area Chronicles: Getting Around

Getting around in California is easy—if you have a car!  The freeway makes covering vast and wide areas quick and easy, but if you don’t have a car public transportation is quite challenging.  It’s no wonder everybody drives in California!  But I won’t let this minor issue hold me back! This is part of a…
