Century Tuna Ironman Philippines 2018 Weekend

One of the weekends that I always look forward to each year is when Century Tuna Ironman is held.  It’s one of the few times in the year where world-class triathletes come to the country and show why they are called “elites” in the sport.  It’s also that time of the year where new Ironmen and Ironwomen are forged.  Here’s my recollection of the historic weekend when the Philippines hosted its first full-distance Ironman.

Caught with My Pants Down: My First-Hand Account of the Century Tuna Underpants Run

When I learned that the Century Tuna Underpants Run will be its own event to be held in Manila, a part of me was dismayed as I’ve always associated the event with the Ironman.  But at the back of my mind, I still had some hope that the Ironman tradition would still stick around, and days before the first full-distance Ironman event in country, I was not disappointed!

Ironman Weekend: Behind the Scenes, Inside the Mind, and Under the Pants

Cobra Ironman 70.3 Holds Send-Off Expo for 2014 Triathletes

Manila, Philippines – The biggest and most challenging triathlon race in the country is back this August in its host location, Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu.  The Cobra Ironman 70.3 is the highly anticipated premiere-sporting event in the Philippines since 2009.  Comprising a strenuous distance of 1.9K swim, 90K bike, and 21K run (totalling 70.3 miles), athletes from all over the word is set to land in the Queen City of South this August 3 to face their toughest test of endurance.

Expo is on July 11-13, 2014
