Run United HP Recovery Run

Run United for the first time is introducing a “recovery run” exclusively for all the finishers of this year’s Run United 1, 2, and Philippine Marathon (RUPM) series.  Dubbed Run United HP Recovery Run, this “race” is strictly non-competitive as there will not be any prizes (aside from the post-race giveaways) and everyone is encouraged to take it “easy.”  Here are the event particulars:

Back on the Road: Running Commonwealth Avenue and C5 (Again)

It’s been ages since I last run on the road outside of races and I’m glad I finally did!  I didn’t join any races for the month of September but I’m glad that something came along to motivate me out of my bed.

Product Review: Unilab Active Health Sports Gel

(Update: This product has been discontinued) To those running long distances (usually half marathons or longer) energy gels serve as a very convenient source of nutrition: they don’t spoil easily, comes in a minimal packaging, and provide an energy boost without needing to chew.  All brands available in the local market is imported, until now, as Unilab introduced the first Philippine-made energy gel simply known as Active Health Sports Gel.

Enervon Activ powers fitness experts and students of the 2013 PHASES Conference

Unilab Active Health invited yours truly to bear witness to the Philippine Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (PHASES) Conference, held at the University of Santo Tomas Medicine Cinematorium last May 23-25, 2013.  I was only able to attend the final session, but here’s the rundown of this event:

My First Half Marathon of the Year at Run United 1 (2013)

Time flies so fast and before we know it, it’s already the middle of March!  New Year seemed like yesterday and with all the crazy work that I have in the office I didn’t notice the first leg of the Run United 2013 series coming.  Of course I wouldn’t just let RU1 slip just because I got “lazy!”
