Goodness gracious! I didn’t realize that my second season (anniversary) of running had just passed last August 17! And as of that date I accumulated a total of 2,012 kilometers (since August 17, 2008, my first ever race). I’ve no idea though how much of it was earned during the last 12 months, but it’s at least 1,000 kilometers. So I guess that wraps up my second season of running!

Preview: Season 3
Jumpstarting season 3 is a 65-kilometer ultramarathon in one of my favorite places in the Philippines, Ilocos Norte. It would be during the Philippine Association of Ultrarunners’ (PAU) P2P65K Run on August 29, 2010.
The event is a 65K+ ultramarathon from Pasuquin Municipal Hall to Pagudpud, passing through some of the most picturesque sights the province of Ilocos Norte has to offer:
- Burgos Lighthouse
Burgos Lighthouse at Cape Bojeador Kilometer 23, located on top of a hill which makes for a kilometer uphill climb
- Kapurpurawan Rocks
Credit: IlocandiaTreasures.com Kilometer 30, a place of interest since I’ve never been to, 3.6K worth of trails
- Bangui Windmills
Bangui Windmills Kilometer 44, the place where the picture in my banner was taken, 5.6K worth of unpaved roads
- Pagudpud beach
The beaches of Pagudpud Finish line, one of the finest beaches in the country, considered to be the “Boracay” of the north. I can’t wait to run barefoot there again!
Scenes from the Briefing
A short briefing was held last August 24 which also doubled as the event’s Carbo-Loading Party (CLP). Here are some scenes from the night:
