The good folks from Zest-O, makers of WaterPlus, invited yours truly along with many sports and food bloggers for their Bloggers’ Night at Lu Restaurant, Rockwell for the launching of Andi Manzano’s billboard for WaterPlus Reduce, a variant of WaterPlus containing L-Carnitine and fiber.

WaterPlus Reduce is a revolutionary weight loss water product packed with 300mg L-Carnitine and 2 grams of Fibersol. L-Carnitine is an amino acid that helps increase fat-burning properties in the body while Fibersol is a water soluble fiber that helps maintain a healthy digestive track.
Okay so it’s another product with L-Carnitine, so what? Well I think it’s unique in the sense that it’s practically just water with flavor, thus minimizing calories, and it has fiber for our digestion. If maximizing calorie burn is your goal with your workout, L-Carnitine may help, and if you don’t eat much vegetable, fiber would be good for your colon.
What’s good about WaterPlus is its near water formulation. Like water, it is light and refreshing, no heavy flavors, just a hint of your favorite fruits. Choose from either grape, apple, or lemon & berries WaterPlus Reduce variant. Unlike other weight loss drinks, it has zero sugar and zero calories which enables you to burn more fats without adding extra pounds.
Some of these dishes aren’t on Lu’s menu but all of it is very delicious! It was served one at a time as the program progressed and as each variant of WaterPlus was served in between.
For people trying to maintain or lose weight, it is highly recommended that they pair their meal with a bottle of WaterPlus Reduce. The added L-Carnitine in WaterPlus Reduce will help them burn calories faster thus minimizing unwanted calories that turn into fats.
Why pair it with meals? L-Carnitine is best if taken a few hours before your workout, and you don’t do your workout right after your meals, right? By the time you’re ready to do your workout after your meal L-Carnitine is already absorbed by your body and ready to aid in calorie-burning. Of course you may still take it during your workout, but it may not be as useful as that taken beforehand.

Whenever I do my easy runs (a.k.a. whenever not racing) I often just bring along mineralized water as hydration because it’s cheaper than sports drinks but still contains essential elements, but on the down side it’s stale as it doesn’t have any taste whatsoever. To those in similar situation WaterPlus may just be an alternative because aside from costs, it has that subtle taste to break the monotony of plain water. Nutrition-wise it could also be better than distilled water because it has some calories and sodium that we need. Here are the nutrition facts for a single serving (500mL) of WaterPlus Reduce as written on its label:
