Three days is too long when you’re in a bad company, but too short when you are enjoying yourself. On our final day in La Union, we just savored our last moments with food and enjoying the waters.

Five Shoes for Different Occasions
When I started running I had no idea about picking the “right” shoe and just wore whichever fits me well and looks “decent” enough. In fact, I don’t think that what I wore during my first race were running shoes! (They were most likely badminton shoes that I wore when that was the “it” sport.) …
Summer is Here! My Long Overdue Return to Puerto Galera (Part 2)
The following day was a total opposite of the day before: it begun with rains and for the most part cloudy. Just as when I was seriously considering running barefoot on the beach!
Shoe Review: Merrell Trail Glove
Merrell recently introduced to the Philippine market their Barefoot Collection and I was lucky enough to win a pair of their segment for trails, the Trail Glove. At first glance it looks like a regular pair, but given its name with a matching Vibram name on its sole, it had got to be much more…
Ultra Runner Running Barefoot at the Ultra
After a very, very long time this runner finally got a chance to run the tracks of the PSC Arena (formerly Ultra). It was an unanticipated visit, with an unexpected result.
4th VFF Fun Run
Last Sunday, Barefoot Running Philippines/Vibram FiveFingers Fan Club had gathered minimalist and barefoot running enthusiasts over at the SM Mall of Asia grounds for its fourth VFF Fan Club Fun Run, an informal run that’s purely for fun!
Meet My New BFF: VFF Sprint (Vibram Five Fingers)
I’ve always been fascinated with Vibram Five Fingers (VFF) ever since the first time I saw it. At first I thought it’s crazy because back then I always thought that shoes should be thick and soft (cushioning). Fast forward, I started running, and learned all about my feet, and eventually, shoes. Even my first post…
Life’s a Beach
A week after returning from the shores of Boracay I found myself back at the beach! This time around though it was much closer to Manila, around 110 kilometers south at the beaches of Canyon Cove, Nasugbu, Batangas. Batangas as far as I know isn’t really popular for white beaches but surprisingly Canyon Cove was,…
Boracay Adventures: Realization (Day 3)
Coming to the third day of our Boracay trip I realized something—three days are not enough! There’s just so many things you can do in this lovely island that three days are simply not enough. Our return flight to Manila takes us to the Kalibo International Airport about an hour and a half away from…
Boracay Adventures: Last Dose of Summer (Day 1)
Before summer came to a close (at least for the Metro) I had a last dose of summer in none other than one of the world’s finest beaches—Boracay! It had been a dream of mine to visit the island ever since I’ve heard of its legendary beaches and this summer I had a chance to…
The Perfect Spot for Barefoot Running…
I thought I had found a great place to run barefoot but last weekend I found the perfect spot! Where is it? Soon 😀 (I just got back from this place so I haven’t got time yet to write the story :))
The Natural Joy of Running: Barefoot?
Barefoot running? It can’t get any natural than that—before civilization was invented, or any form of it, that was how our ancestors moved and survived eons ago. Today in the 21st century running had become very technical—pronation, supination, compression, hydration, fartlek, Global Positioning System, etc.—isn’t it nice to not think of any of these terms…
