Wearable and Edible “Smart” Banana at the 2015 Tokyo Marathon

Of all the wearable devices in the market today, a banana, and an edible one, is one of the last thing that would come to mind—and they do exist and will be debuting at this year’s Tokyo Marathon!

This “smart” banana is to celebrate Dole’s eight years as a Tokyo Marathon sponsor. It is a real, edible banana fitted with sensors and LEDs and once worn the banana will show the racer’s times, tweets, heart rate, etc.

To all participants of the Tokyo Marathon this weekend, good luck! 頑張ってください 😀
