Apple Chronicles: Central Park

Of all the beautiful sights I’ve seen in and around New York City, Central Park would be one of my top favorites.  It is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen and with so many routes available, it’s a runner’s paradise!

One moment you’re in the midst of a bustling city, the next you’re in the middle of nature…

This is part of a series

With all the activities we’ve done and so little time, I was actually only able to visit Central Park once during my two-week trip.  And that single visit is not enough to even cover half of the park!  Worst of all, I was unable to run through this beautiful park!  I was able to cover many areas though by walking.

With so many paths along the park, there are so many sights to see…
And you won’t forget you’re still in the middle of NYC…
I can only imagine how amazing the park must look from those buildings…
More sight-seeing…
The park is paradise for non-humans, too!
The park is home to some man-made lakes.
And there are paths that really takes you away…
I think this is a popular landmark of the park…
Another lovely view of one of the lakes…
Bethesda fountain…
Live performers asking for some of your time and spare change…
Making our way out of the park…
Some “guides” would tell you that this is the fountain used in the opening credits of the popular ‘90s sitcom, Friends, but that’s not true… 😀

I may have barely seen Central Park on my first visit, but something tells me that I may be able to rectify that in the near future… 😉
