Inspired by the trending topic #2015BestNine on Instagram, I decided to create my own nine highlights of the year 2015. It’s quite difficult to rank them in particular order so I’m listing them from the earliest to the latest in the year.
#9: Meatless Monday
This is one of the initiatives that I started early this year not merely for the sake of dieting but also for personal health and reduction of carbon-emission. Yes, eating meat does increase carbon-emission and if everyone of us reduce eating meat even by just for a day each week, we’d have a huge impact on the health of our planet and on ourselves.
#8: Visita Iglesia
This is one of the rare opportunities where being a runner is a blessing as I got to do my visita iglesia on foot. But since it came at a time when I’m not allowed to run due to health reasons, I did it all by walking.

#7: World of DC Comics Fun Run
This is one of the most fun races that I did this year as finally I got to be able to run wearing a costume of my favorite superhero, Superman!

#6: Trip to Bicolandia
This is definitely one of the most memorable trips I’ve had this year as I finally got to see the majestic Mayon Volcano and see other popular destinations like Caramoan Island.

#5: An Extraordinary Weekend at Timberland Heights
Timberland Heights is just one of my favorite places to visit and I was so glad I was able to visit this year to experience an extraordinary weekend and have a glimpse of what the future holds for this huge property.

#4: Full Marathon Pacer at Run United 3
After a few years of shying away from doing full marathons, I’m finally back this year albeit as a pacer on a very easy finish time of six hours. Six hours and 42K is pretty long and as with all marathons, pretty memorable.

#3: Podium Finish at Fitness First Platinum RCBC Mini-Olympics
After all these years of running and going to the gym, who would’ve thought that my time will come to have a podium finish? And not just as a runner-up, but the champion for my category!
#2: Sip & Gogh
This is surprisingly such a fun activity! Never had I imagined that I’d be doing an actual painting and with their guidance I was able to achieve that and even better than I ever anticipated! I will definitely do this again given the chance.
#1: Trip to the US West Coast
This is the longest vacation of my adult life and also the longest chronicle on this blog! From exploring the city of Los Angeles, the beaches of Santa Monica, Hollywood and Universal Studios, the first Disneyland at Anaheim, to the casinos of Las Vegas Strip.

After compiling this list, I realized that I have a lot to be thankful for the year. There were some things that I wasn’t able to do or places I haven’t had the chance to visit, but overall it was a good year. I hope the coming year, 2016, brings forth more blessings for all of us, especially our country.
Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉
